GRADING POLICY (RUBRICS)

Grading Policy

General Guidelines

As in every other class, students are expected to come to Art class prepared and ready to work. They are to follow the Middle School Code of Conduct, follow all classroom directions, and meet all specific class requirements.

Students will be expected to maintain an Art folder or Art Book, in which they will be assigned monthly formative assigments .

Student artwork will be graded based on five criteria as follows:

1. Expressing creativity by exploring options and taking risks in artwork.

2.  Exhibiting a good presentation of their work, and understanding and implementing the elements of art and the principles of design.

3. Putting forth best personal effort and good craftsmanship by focusing attention on details.

4. Following instructions and   understanding the project requirements, and following through to completion. 

5. Participating in class discussions (always in english) and presenting their works on time. 

All Art projects are graded using the following rubric.
